Ever hear that you should dress for the life you want? Imagine your ideal life and how you want to show up within it. This thought process should guide your style decisions. I’m a big believer in this philosophy. As a working woman, fashion brings me so much confidence. I express my creativity and individuality through my clothing. When you’re part of corporate America, a little creative expression goes a long way.

My style and daily activities have both changed drastically since October 2020. Many of my pre-covid pieces no longer felt right anymore. I went through a wardrobe refresh for this new hybrid lifestyle – working from home combined with in-person networking events. A few items tie together my closet staples with the new statement my 2021 life makes. Here’s some of my favorites:

1. Cozy Cardigan

This is the coziest must have for your work from home wardrobe. Whether you need to quickly turn your video on or are headed to the pumpkin patch, this versatile piece brings color and comfort into your life. In Georgia, the transition from summer to Fall is slow and steady. Enter the sweater vest. As a stand alone tank or a winter layer, this item is a multi-purpose addition for your wardrobe. Wear it for a young professional vibe at a meeting or a preppy night out in the city. It feels so right amid the Gossip Girl revival. I can’t stop wearing my sweater vest. 3. White Chunky Boots

White boots are everything this year. I’m a long-time fan of winter white; it makes a statement next to your sweaters and heavy layers. I love a chunky heel for long stable walks from the parking garage up the stairs to my dinner reservation. My favorite pairing includes a plaid mini dress.
